How to use this Group

When you want some work critiqued, Here's how...

1. Start a new discussion within this group.

2. Upload a few samples of your work (or a specific drawing/painting)

3. Ask for pointed feedback. A generic "what do you think" won't attract attention. Ask specific questions to help you improve.

Hi George... I tried once again(without tracing). Found difficult in making the frame of the light darker. So over painted some places. Pls comment on it.

A photograph likes this with no detail depends entirely on the silhouette for it to make sense. The edges have to be crisp, straight and should look machined. Not organic.

If you would like to do this again, I recomend that you print it out, trace the outline, and fill in the dark just like the first time, but this time with clean straight edges. Also the thin lines such as the wire handle etc. Draw it clearly and crisply. I think it will make a huge difference.

Actually it's not bad. But i'm sure that the lamp has more detail that you missed. Go in with a smaller brush and see if you can add the smaller detail you missed in a stronger shade. Please post so I can see the difference.

Yes george I agree, I did rush. Planning to try the same one with patience. Hope it turns out better. This is the picture where I could kind of see what u called shadows and dark lines. so I was in hurry to complete. thank u so much for patiently giving feedback every time.
