1.
Shambhu ShastriA graduate of CKP and an amazing artist, Shambhu teaches art for a living and is one of the most accomplished artists I know. He studied sculpture at art college and has since dabbled in many aspects of the visual medium. Go to him for any facet of drawing including perspective, anatomy, rendering, media or whatever.
2.
Vinod Shantaram MoreAnother traditioal media rockstar. Vinod is a watercolour master and is very proficient with life study. He currently works in the VFX industry so you know that his understanding of natural phenomena will be awesome. Go to him for any aspect of drawing. But just so you know, he seems extremely busy and visits these forums rarely. However I think he will help if he can.
3.
Prabha MallyaPrabha is a children's book illustrator and is well known to anyone who has attended a pencil jam sketch event. She has written several articles on drawing and currently illustrates for a wide range of projects. Approach her for any aspect of drawing, especially experimental media, stylisation and sketch journalling. She is awesome.
4.
Amanda CrawfordI met Amanda online and was instantly attracted to her children's book art. She is an accomplished illustrator who understands mixed media beautifully. Her illustrations use a stunning figure-ground contrasting technique that you can learn from. She is the right person to help with composition, story telling, narratives through drawing. She seems busy, so you may have to send her a message after you have uploaded your critique request.
5.
Strider AKA RoshanI met Rosh on FB and was taken by his stunning digital illustration. Rosh too is a sketch journalist and an avid observer of natural phenomena. He has written an article for us on
Volumetric perspective and regularly helps the members here with his advice. Go to Rosh for help on composition, colour, rendering techniques, perspective, character design and digital variants of traditional drawing techniques.
6.
Parinitha KonanurParinitha is a graduate from Chitrakala Parishath and specialises in Art history. She is also an art critic and has a thorough knowledge of Indian and Western Art history. Go to her if you want to learn more about specific artists, art genres, or an overall appreciation of art in general.
7. A.Z RanjitAZ Ranjit seems to be an art teacher, and a very good one at that. I don't know much about Ranjit, so I'll let him introduce himself. What I do know is that he is a master of Dry Pastels. If you require help or inspiration in using this difficult medium, he is the go to guy.
More on the way obviously. Meanwhile upload your requests, be polite and ask a lot of questions. Learn to take critisicm with a stout heart, after all they ARE investing time in your learning.
Happy drawing!
