THank you very much for your comments! They are really appreciated.
Thank you very much too! I really appreciate your advice.
I was doubtful about the background. It is different to the ref photo because I added more distant flowers and made them smaller. I tried to keep the overall tones much the same. On another site, someone said the background was too dark!! To be honest, I gave up on the background at the end, because of my doubts.
I wanted to keep the petals sharp so the daisy would stand out. Maybe, the centre petals could be sharp but the others softer? The stem was very dark and sharp in the photo but I did add some light down one side. Unfortunately it does not show up!
Again, many thanks everyone!
I think you did absolutely marvelous capturing the light. I get the feeling that if I blew across the page the petals would wiggle..
it feels so bright & light . . . Beautiful!!
Great subject to illustrate the effect of light. You have managed to get the feeling of light passing through the petals very well. I would try to keep the outline of the petals and the stalk just a teeny weeny bit softer. I would also try to make the background a bit darker, so that I could leave less of the paper white.
Awesome.....the background is just awesome!!
