My first oil on canvas...in progress..
Its a compilation of three different paintings done by Masters of Oil painting.

Some of the colours seem to have changed in the photograph...will try to replace with a better photograph..

Thanks Sriguru..:) Its not so difficult to work with oil...only thing is you have to learn it from someone who knows oil painting well...coz..if u mix too much oil..it takes years to dry...if u mix very little oil...it will dry soon and chip off..oil painting is time consuming...as u have to wait for every layer to dry..and i usually end up making a mess...cleaning the brushes..the extra paint on the palettes..cleaning it!!first of all one has to learn to prepare a canvas...my dad did that for me..nailing the canvas to a frame...as tightly as possible...and then applying so many coats....

Now a days..synthetic canvas is available...and also the paints which dry fast...

but i prefer the old method...more elaborate..helps us to learn more and more..

The best part is.....u can always keep improving on the painting...the more layers u put...the richer it looks..and makes it more durable!...on the whole..I love working with oils!

Awesome! it looks so realistic.. Many say its really difficult to work with oil..

WoW!!! An oil painting from the very talented prodigy from Coorg! What can one say... This is just super awesome...the shine/glare/reflection on the metal is exquisite... absolutely fantastic! Absolutely love it!!!
