Hi,
We would like to start a Pune Pencil Jammers club. This will cater to many drawing activities. Here is the idea:
1. A Weekend Drawing Club for Saturdays and Sundays.
-> "OPEN STUDIO DRAW" sessions SATURDAYS (Tentative 9.00AM - 11.00AM): Indoors at a "studio" (borrowed classroom) where we can invite an artist to give us a few tips.. Everybody brings their own equipment, and do whatever they like still life, watercolors, pastels etc. After all it is OPEN STUDIO DRAW. This is NOT A CLASS WITH A TEACHER. Event is FREE, only request is to call ahead because space is limited to like 20-25 people. Children should be accompanied by parents, we won't be able to take care of anyone as such. ALL ARE WELCOME!
-> "GREAT SKETCH MEET", SUNDAYS (Tentative 9:00AM - 11.00AM): Outdoors at nearby locations like University, Empress Garden, Parvati, etc. We will rotate areas within Pune so that its easier for a group each time to get to the venue. Children should be accompanied by parents, we won't be able to take care of anyone as such. ALL ARE WELCOME!
2. Art Trips - To Be Worked Out. For e.g., the great art Bhavani Art Museum at Aundh (Satara).
3. Art Talks - I know a great art history teacher from MSU Fine Arts who has retired to Pune. May be we can invite her sometime to give a talk
