I am a self-taught artist and a student of art forever. My art is based on realism - Easy to decipher, understand and relate. I like my works to bring a moments peace and calmness in the eyes, heart and mind of the viewer/audience. Sometimes, I try to narrate a story that relates to life and life's conflict with the reality outside and hopes within. I draw and paint to express what I feel when I see or experience certain things - without the influence of cosmetic pretence, commercial hogwash and meaningless abstract-ism. The act of Drawing & painting and the resulting joy is akeen to meditation or mental masturbation to me - for I need no one else when I am "in it". I love the peace, release and fulfillment I derive from it, for its all encompassing experience of fulfillment that cannot be expressed in words. The feeling is for the artist in me to hold-on to... until the next time I pick up my tools or look at another worthy work of art. I follow realism-based works of art because it helps me be a naive student,an observer, a researcher, an explorer, a philosopher, a designer, and a learner about life and nature around me. I derive my subjects and inspiration from nature and all things natural. You will not find too many people in my paintings, except when I handle them individually through portraits. My works try to bring out the simplistic beauty of nature... WITHOUT ARTIFICIAL FLAVOURS, WITHOUT UNNECESSARY DISTORTED VERSIONS, WITHOUT BOUNDARIES of LOVE. With my works I put myself forward in an attempt to bring in PEACE in the HEART and CALMNESS in MIND of the viewer!
