Dancing SHREYA!! How did you discover my secret job!
There is a certain charm in simplicity which I have always admired.
Hi Palani, Thank you for ur opinion on my sketch. That really helps....I request you to look into all my sketches and comment :)
But before you buy anything else, do buy a 100ml pot of Acrylic Gloss medium. This is essential. For the mixing palette, you may bring one of those microwave-able sealed containers, round or box-like - sounds ridiculous, but the inside of their flexible plastic lids can be used as palette. Since acrylic dries very fast, you can invert the bowl/container part on the lid and seal it, which will keep the paint workable while not in use.
Colors - you may buy a few of the basic colors, in 40ml artist variety tubes. At the very least, go for each of the following colors -
1. Titanium white
2. Scarlet lake
3. Prussian blue
4. Lemon Yellow or Permanent yellow medium
This is a severely limited palette. Mixing of the above will give you some although not all the colors needed for figure painting. So, in addition I'd suggest you also buy
5. Yellow ocher
6. Burnt umber (especially this)
7. Burnt Sienna
The colors in the first list can't be mixed to produce violet-ish, or 'cool' hues. So if you need that, you may also buy the following, although its not absolutely essential for the workshop.
8. Ultramarine blue (hard to get, probably out of supply)
9. Permanent Rose
10. Olive green (makes nice blacks with prussian blue and/or burnt umber)
I hope this will be helpful. If you want you may also share it with others. Thank you for attending the workshop.
Kind regards,
Prosenjit
