view at valley school

this started as a test for a new water color paper i am trying. this paper is working and responding well so far. works well with both wet-on-wet and wet-on dry techniques and gives brilliant illuminating results for transparent water color even after few layers. has a nice soft texture too!

medium: watercolor on 300 gsm cold press fabriano paper

size: 9 3/4" x 6 3/4"

time: didnot keep a note :)!

source: from own reference pics!

thanks for viewing!

@ balaji sir: i had to reduce the intensity of the ground as it existed in reality as it was almost similar as the man made structure. however i tried to keep the reflected light underneath the shade close. glad to hear ur words, sir!

  • Nice work!

  • Good one!

  • All your watercolors are so elegant and beautiful! This one is no exception!
  • As usual, beautiful !

  • Beautiful work!

Your trees are lovely and the shifts in value work very well. I also like the way you have painted the man-made structure and shown the reflected light on the underside of the tiled roof.
